Overview
The VMO-150 is a valve manual override that allows operators to either operate a pneumatically actuated valve in auto mode or in manual mode. In auto mode, the valve operates as the installed control instrumentation dictates. When in manual mode, the VMO allows the operator to move the valve open, closed, or anywhere in between by blocking the pneumatic signal of the control instrumentation and using its own pneumatic supply to power the actuator and move the valve.
VMOs are essential pieces of equipment for startup and commissioning activities as well as for routine maintenance. They can be applied to any pneumatically operated actuator and are common on both control valves as well as quarter turn ball valves.
